My Review:

Robby MacKay works for his grandfather, Angus MacKay, and he has seen his share of death and violence. But nothing compares to his own torture the previous summer. Robby is a walking and talking death wish waiting to happen if something doesn't change soon for the better.

Angus is forcing Robby to deal with his issues with a forced vacation at a place of his choosing. Robby chooses Patmos Greek Island.

Robby settles into a routine of getting back into shape and rest, but it can only fill up so much of his time there. That is until Robby spies a goddess during one of his beach runs. Now Robby wants to get to know this goddess for himself.

Olivia Sotiris works for the FBI and goes on vacation for a much needed respite from her caseload. The only safe haven for Olivia is Patmos where her grandmother lives. Olivia loves being around her grandmother, despite her grandmother's matchmaking skills.

When Olivia spies an Adonis out running on the beach, she's intrigued, yet wary. Olivia always knows when she's being lied to which makes it difficult to pursue a relationship with the opposite sex.

Yet when Olivia meets Robby her special talent doesn't appear to work on Robby, which confuses her greatly. Will both of their pasts come back to haunt them? Can Olivia trust Robby? Can Robby tell Olivia the truth? Your answers await you in The Vampire and the Virgin.

I have to admit that Robby is my favorite character in the Love at Stake Series. Although all the men running around in kilts isn't a bad perk of reading this series (which reminds of Outlander for the accents), I can’t help but love this series storyline.

I'm wishing that in each book they catch The Malcontents’ leader, but he appears to be a slippery bastard. The characters are just so yummy, heartwarming, raw, honest, and real. I'm pulled into the story from the first to the last page and it definitely leaves me wanting more!
