My Review:
Lyka Phelan is hiding a secret that can change the fate of one man, or Theronai in this case.
Joseph Rayd, leader of Theronai, hasn't known time when he wasn't in pain. Yet when Joseph is around Lyka, his pain seems to disappear just by being near her.
Meanwhile, The Slayers are attacked by Synestryn who look more like humans.
Lyka despises being trapped in Dabyr when she could be out finding her missing brother. Lyka willingly gives up her secret only to discover to her frustration that the wealth of power isn't readily available.
Joseph gets his fondest wish just being near Lyka. But he can't seem to stop himself from wanting more. Can the missing Slayers be found? Will Lyka trust Joseph? Your answers await you in Binding Ties.

Binding Ties definitely didn't disappoint in both story and character wise. The characters are down to earth, real, flawed, honest, and intriguing.
The story hits the ground running from first to last page. I did my usual book devouring session which means I only have myself to blame for it being over too soon. I can't wait for the next one in this series.
