Caitlyn Whelan is anxious to reunite with her sister, Shanna. Caitlyn is stunned to learn that her sister is happily married and has two children, something her father, Sean, failed to mention, among other things.
Caitlyn is drawn to a mystery man who sets fire to her blood. Caitlyn's psychic gift is understanding any spoken language upon hearing.
Carlos Panterra is a were-panther whose race is facing extinction. He's anxious to go searching for more of his people. Angus asks Carlos to train Caitlyn as a new member.
Carlos finds his attraction to Caitlyn dangerous and wants out of harm’s way fast. But he can’t get away fast enough as Angus overrules Carlos about taking Caitlyn along on his trip because of her gift. Can Caitlyn help? Will Carlos admit his feelings? Since Carlos’ introduction I've been curious as a cat about his backstory. I found it interesting how Caitlyn and Carlos became a couple. I love the characters!
For me, the characters are shy, interesting, real, raw, compelling, and heartbreaking, too. The story captured my attention from the first page to last page. Definitely looking forward to my next adventure in this series!
