Jack is hosting Ian MacPhie's Bachelor Party, only to have the police crash the party. Officer Lara Boucher and her partner respond to a disturbance in hotel room where nothing goes as planned.
Lara is immune to vampire mind control, which frustrates Jack to no end. When a series of missing persons occurs, Lara investigates much to Jack's dismay.
Lara feels like Jack is hiding something from her, but she's not sure what. Will Lara accept Jack? Will Lara admit her feelings? Who’s behind the missing persons? Your answers await you in Secret Life of a Vampire.

I loved so many elements in this book. The dark and mysterious Jack has intrigued me since his introduction. I pitied him having to live up to his famous father's antics.
I loved Lara! She was definitely a strong willed woman with stubborn determination.
Meanwhile, things are definitely heating up between The Vamps and The Malcontents.
I really like the direction this series is going in. I think the story is well balanced with a mixture of dark and lightness. The characters are real, honest, interesting, and smart. I can't wait for my next adventure in this series.
