Review: Love’s Rhythm (Heart of Fame #1) by Lexxie Couper

"His music moves the world. Can his love move her heart? "
Nick Blackthorne knows all about words of love. They're the reason he's the world's biggest rock star. The irony? He turned his back on love a long time ago, lured away by the trappings of fame.
An invitation to a friend s wedding is a stark reminder of how meaningless his life has become. When he enters that church, there'ss only one woman he wants on his arm the one he walked out on a lifetime ago. But first he has to find her, even if all she accepts from him is an apology.

Kindergarten teacher Lauren Robbins once had what every woman on the planet desires. Nick. Their passion was explosive, their romance the stuff of songs and it took fifteen years to get over him. Then out of the blue Nick turns up at her door, and all those years denying her ache for him are shattered with a single, smoldering kiss.
But molten passion can't hide the secret she's kept for all these years. Because it's not just "her" heart on the line anymore and not just her life that'll be rocked by the revelation.
Warning: Remember your first crush on a rock star? Now add smoldering sex, a raw and undeniable passion, soul-shattering orgasms. And secrets.

My Review:

A friend recommended Love’s Rhythm to me and want to thank T'irla for sharing this amazing book with me. That being said I love books about music, the creative process, and dancing!!!

Love’s Rhythm grips your heart from first page to the last page. It's what I call a page turner. Nick Blackthorne is a mega rock star with all that entails, but upon receiving an invitation to a wedding, a chain of events is kicked into motion.

The refrain of plus one rings in his mind over and over again. Nick doesn't want to take any one of the bevy of starlets or models to this special event. There is only one person he wants to take: Lauren Robbins, a Kindergarten teacher.

But he doesn't know where to find her after 15 years. He doesn't know what kind of reception he's going to get, but he has to try any way. He sets off to find her in her hometown where Lauren is trying to raise her teenage son well away from the spotlight and all-consuming lifestyle that –surprise! his dad–Nick Blackthorne brings.

Yet neither father or son have any idea about each other and Lauren hopes to keep it that way for as long as possible. All that changes when Nick shows up unexpectedly at her elementary school one afternoon.

Lauren's whole world crashes down around her and then some. Only being around Nick can bring the raging hormones roaring back as if no time has passed at all. Now what is Lauren going to do because she's sure that finding out about a son that Nick doesn't is his can't be good for anyone. Will Lauren accept why Nick is there? Will Nick learn the truth about his son? How will that be handled? Can Lauren believe in Nick again? Your answers await you in Love's Rhythm.
