My Review:

Emily can't believe that her mom is marrying her boss, Carter Green to help him out of a sticky situation. Emily wants nothing to do with Carter or his arrogant ways, either. Emily can't believe the things Carter says to her which leave her uncomfortable and confused.

Carter Green's marriage is a sham to create a better image for his company, Valor Tech. However, Carter can't control his actions or thoughts around his stepdaughter, Emily. On one hand, he knows he needs to leave her alone, but on the other hand he can't deny his feelings towards her.

Will Carter be able to keep his hands off Emily? Will Emily admit the truth? Your answers await you in Man of the House.

This book definitely took a dark turn and features a taboo subject, too. The characters and story were compelling, complex, raw, gritty, real, and brutally honest. I can't say enough good things about this book. I look forward to my next adventure with this author.
