My Review:

Gin Blanco is a retired assassin who’s clearly bored with her life now. Gin owns The Pork Pit from her mentor, Fletcher Lane, for two months now. Gin's life becomes more interesting when Violet Fox steps through The Pork Pit asking for the Tin Man.

Now Gin's on a quest to find out why Violet and her grandfather, Warren, are being targeted.

Donovan Caine steps back into Gin's life along with Owen Grayson. Gin just wants the connection she shares with Donovan, but he keeps running away from her all the time for his ethical code. Can Gin help The Foxes? What does Gin learn about her past? Your answers await you in Web of Lies.

I'm definitely hooked on this series. Gin is so badass that she makes Anita Blake seem like twig. Don't get me wrong; I love Anita Blake, but Gin has something I can't quite put my finger on as a character.

I'm a huge fan of strong female characters. I totally think Donovan is an idiot of the highest order. I mean seriously, he thinks Gin resorts to killing for no apparent reason all the time.

Donovan and Gin are smoking hot in the sack, but honestly the connection just doesn't do it for me. Now Owen Grayson is another matter entirely. I look forward to my next adventure in this series.
