My Review:

Kaelyn Gordon is going on a trip that she and her deceased husband, Wayne, had always planned on taking. She was convinced into taking this trip by her best friends, Veronica and Sarah.

On Kaelyn's flight, she meets a creepy guy. She just wants to be left alone, but this guy can't take a hint. Kaelyn is rescued by Brantley "Brant" Anders who pretends to be her husband.

For Kaelyn, Brant is pure bliss, though Kaelyn can't figure out why Brant and his friends want to help her out. Kaelyn gives their team the name, Ardent Guardians, which pleases them greatly. Will the creepy guy continue to harass Kaelyn? What will Kaelyn's attraction mean for her? Why is Brant and company helping Kaelyn? Your answers await you in Ardent Guardians.

Ardent Guardians is a paranormal romance on crack because of the various mythological elements in play. Kaelyn isn't your typical heroine, and being plus sized is an element I loved about this book.

Our handsome heroes are like sex on a stick – an apt description. I loved the characters! The characters were honest, raw, real, and smart asses. The story had few parts I struggled with, but I found that it was mostly driven by characters and the actions taken. The only part I was disappointed with was the cliffhanger ending, otherwise, this was a sweet and good read for me.
