My Review:
Midnight Awakening is the action packed story of Elise (the widow from Darkhaven) and Tegan (the emotionally checked out warrior) and how they help each other.
Elise lost everything in the last book, and has been a widow for five years, living with her brother-in-law who saves her from being attacked by a Rouge. To make matters worse, Elise also loses her one and only son.
Elise wants revenge on all the Rouges so she´s out on a quest, to kill as many minions as possible by using her ability of hearing others’ thoughts. This is physically draining and when Tegan crosses her path, he sees how much help she needs and what danger awaits her.
I love this pairing and their reluctance to give into their desires. I can´t wait for the next book to see what happened to Rio - they left him in quite the predicament *dun dun dun*
