Review: Dane (The MacKenzie Family #1) by Liliana Hart

12110060

This is book #1 of the MacKenzie Brothers Quartet!
Bad boy, Dane MacKenzie, is coming home to Surrender, Montana. It's been ten years since he left the woman he loved behind to make a name for himself, and now he's bound and determined to claim her once and for all.But Charlotte Munroe has no desire to welcome home the Prodigal Son with a fatted calf. The bitterness of Dane's betrayal runs deep, and she has no plans of letting him back into her life. Especially since she's trying to protect the son Dane isn't aware exists from heartbreak, since she's sure he's only going to walk out of their lives again.

My Review:

After the death of his mother, Dane left his family of three brothers and the love of his life, Charlotte (Charlie) behind to pursue his dream of being a journalist out in the world. Ten years have passed and he returns to his small town, not knowing what he’ll find when he gets there.

Charlotte is shocked when she sees her long lost love, Dane at her garage’s door. He’s been gone for ten years and broke her heart. But memories aren’t the only things that tie them together.

Charlie had a child with Dane, something she kept hidden from Dane and apparently his brothers, who have lived in the same small town for ten years and have never bothered to give one glance her way and see that her child is IDENTICAL to their brother.

All of the feelings Dane had for Charlie resurface and he is full of regret. He sets out to capture Charlie’s heart and set things right in his life. But who has Charlie been with since he’s been away? Who’s the father of her child?

Will Charlie give her heart once more to Dane and tell him who the father of her child really is or will she walk away forever?

Dane features:

  • erotic themes
  • oral sex
  • alpha male
  • romance
  • suspense
  • quick read
