My Review:
We first met Jackson in book two, Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter, and I instantly fell in love with his easy, laidback self. But for some reason, I just couldn’t get it together for this quick read.
Alice is no stranger to tragedy. She is a virgin and alone as her brother, the alpha of the pack, recently died. In order to prevent another wolf, Roscoe, from taking over her pack, she’s got to find an alpha and fast.
Alice turns to Midnight Liaisons which connects her with Jackson. Jackson takes immediate charge of things and assumes the role of alpha, taking care of several children in the pack, along with the youngster already in his care.
But Roscoe’s not buying this instant connection and it’s not long before he stirs up trouble. Will Jackson be able to fend him off?

I was happy that Jackson and his boy both found a new home, but the romance between Jackson and Alice felt rushed almost. I guess because it was such a quick read there wasn’t much time to develop things.
Still, I love this world Jessica Sims has created. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
