It hasn't been the best week for Jessica McClain.
Her mate has been kidnapped by a Goddess hell-bent on revenge --- but Jessica is playing for keeps.
Because she's the only female werewolf in town...it comes with its own set of rules...and powers.
Aided by two vamps, two loyal Pack members, and one very reluctant human, Jessica must rescue her man while coming to terms with what being a wolf really means.
All in a day's work for a girl.
The second novel in the Jessica McClain series is a full on action adventure featuring one angry Goddess and plenty of monsters, demons, and a few newly risen beasties...
Hot Blooded, the second installment in Amanda Carlson’s Jessica McClain series, begins where the first one, Full Blooded, left off.
Jessica´s mate, Rourke, is kidnapped, and she´s going after him, trying to beat a goddess. The cop, Ray, is still chasing her and threatening to turn her in, and her father has problems with another Pack in the east.
Hot Blooded is nonstop, fast-paced action and suspense. More than once, I got the feeling I was reading The Odyssey, with Odysseus struggling to return home. Quite similarly, you see Jessica fighting a strange stone monster, evil hell sucking bats, and more as she fights on to complete her quest.
There aren’t many sexxy scenes in Hot Blooded, but you´ve got no time to think about that since things happen so fast. There’s no down time in this book.
Hot Blooded also ends in another cliffie, but not as bad as the previous book in the series, TG.
Can´t wait to read the third book in the series, Cold Blooded, which is due out on October 8, 2013!
Hot Blooded features:
- alpha males
- paranormal romance
- no sexual content
- cliffhanger ending
