"Living Nightmare." For nine years, the Sentinel Nika has had one goal-to save her younger sister from the Synestryn who hold her captive. Now, the psychic bond Nika forged with her sibling on that terrible night is fading, and time is running out. But the one man who can unlock the power inside her may be the greatest danger to her.

My Review:

Nika Madison has been trying to get Madoc to see that she's not as fragile as he thinks she is. It's been seven months since Madoc last saw Nika and he swears he's imaging curves and a healthy glow to her.

Nika is trying to prove that her baby sister Tori isn't dead by digging up the pretender’s bones, only she forgot that she doesn't have the strength to finish the job. Madoc is furious that he's being asked to rescue Nika from herself instead of fighting Synestryn.

Nika believes Madoc is the only one for her because the rest of the Theronai cause blisters to appear on her skin.

Joseph Rayd is trying to hold the Theronai people together by the skin of his teeth. The only bright spot in his life is Carmen, a troubled young woman he's training. Carmen is holding part of herself back from training and herself since Thomas's death.

Meanwhile, Gilda and Angus seem to be growing further apart by the day which is taking it's toll on both of them. Angus can't figure out what Gilda is hiding, yet doesn't know how to bridge the gap growing between them.

Grace would do anything to help Torr be well again. She loves him more and more each day and it's breaking her heart to see him wasting away. Will Nika get Madoc to listen to her? Will Nika and Madoc be a couple? What about Joseph? What will Grace sacrifice for Torr? Your answers await you in Living Nightmare.
