My Review:
Evangeline "Evie" Videl who lives in Mercy, Mississippi is a shadow of her former, vibrant self. Everything changed because of Marcus Carvant, her ex-fiancé.
Now all Evie wants to do is hide from the world and everyone around her. Evie's life revolves around fear and trying to get the Mississippi Revolutionary Group (MRG) to listen to reason and not get into bed with Marcus Carvant.
Hunter James is back home in Mercy on assignment to get information on Evie Videl and MRG regarding drugs and weapons that could be moving to Pakistan.
Hunter wants nothing more than to cozy up to Evie again, but he's got to remember that she's the enemy.
Yet the more Hunter sees Evie, the more he's convinced that something’s not right and he’s determined to find out what it is. Will Evie find her nerve again? Can Evie deny her feelings for Hunter? Will Hunter stay on mission? Your answers await you in Redemption River.

This new-to-me author really impressed me with her writing skills and characters. The story and characters were flawed, honest, raw, compelling, and real.
I hated the bad guys with a passion. The heroes were awesome. I definitely want to dive more into this series.
