My Review:
Charles and Anna Cornick travel to Scottsdale, Arizona to visit an Arabian Horse farm owned by Charles' old friend, Joseph Sani.
Charles intends to buy Anna a horse for her birthday. But soon Charles and Anna are caught up in trouble of the fae variety, and they find themselves working with Cantrip and some FBI agents to stop a fae called The Doll Collector.
While searching for The Doll Collector, they discover a secret stash that rocks everyone involved to their knees.
Meanwhile, Anna wants Charles to think about them having a child together but he's reluctant to do so. Can they stop The Doll Collector? Will the issue of children be resolved? Your answers await you in Dead Heat.

I love these characters! They are real, honest, down to earth, surprising, and intriguing, too. Plus, the story is unique, timeless, well told, truthful, and meaningful.
Charles and Anna are growing as a couple which is lovely to see. I look forward to my next adventure in this series.
