My Review:
Scarlet picks right after the events from Cinder. Linh Cinder is being held in prison awaiting the move to The Lunar Colony.
Dr. Erland visits Cinder, giving her the keys to escape and information that stuns her speechless. Cinder is really Princess Selene and Queen Levena is her aunt.
Emperor Kaito "Kai" doesn't believe that Cinder used her Lunar glamour on him, but he still has questions.
Meanwhile, Scarlet Beniot is searching for her missing grandmother in Rieux France. Scarlet meets Alpha Ze'ev Kesley Wolf of the Loyal Soldier Pack.
The police don't want to be bothered searching for Scarlet's grandmother. It's up to Scarlet to get the answers she needs now.
While Cinder is escaping, she meets Captain Thorne Carswell. Together they escape in a stolen American Republic spaceship. Cinder plugs in Iko's personality chip.

I'm loving this series! I found Cinder's struggle to accept who she really is to be refreshing and frustrating as well. Cinder doesn't have much confidence in her lunar gifts.
Dr. Erland is quite the mystery to me at this point. Queen Levena is pure evil and manipulative in her desire to be empress of the Eastern Commonwealth. I'm not sure if Kai sees thru her deception just yet. I’m definitely looking forward to the next installment in the series, Cress.
