My Review:

Eight years ago, Sophie only had eyes for Zach. She was so in love, she didn’t hesitate to give her V-card over to him one fateful night. She thought she was headed to her happily ever after ending, but things just didn’t work out quite how she planned.

It’s not long before Sophie finds out she’s pregnant and she quickly learns that Zach isn’t the commitment type. She’s left alone as a single mother raising her child.

Now eight years later, the only person Sophie can rely on is Zach’s intimidating, but gorgeous stepbrother, Ruger. Unlike Zach, Ruger is a top member of the Reaper’s MC and Sophie is wary of accepting any help from him, no matter how much she might need it.

Though Zach has a good paying job, he’s stopped sending her any money and Sophie is in desperate need of help. One night, Sophie’s forced to leave her son in the care of her neighbor so she can work. But it turns out her untrustworthy neighbor does the unimaginable and Sophie’s son is in peril.

Ruger comes to the rescue and he’s appalled at the conditions Sophie is living under. Sure, Sophie attracts him like no other woman has before, but he keeps his distance since she was her stepbrother’s woman.

Ruger convinces Sophie to move in with him until she figures out what she’s going to do with her life. Sophie hesitantly agrees, and vows to fight the attraction she feels for Ruger.

Once in Ruger’s life, Sophie realizes Ruger comes with a lot of baggage and a whole string of one-night stands. She quickly decides getting with him is a bad idea, but he’s great with her son and she can’t help but imagine the family life she’s always dreamed of.

Ruger is falling hard for Sophie and his young nephew has him wrapped around his little finger. They give him exactly what he’s always wanted, but can he give up his bachelor ways and settle down for good? And will Sophie ever let Ruger prove to her that he can change and be the man she and her son need? Or will Zach come to his senses and reclaim the family he once abandoned?

Reaper’s Legacy was a great read full of sexual tension and hott chemistry. I can’t say I’m liking how slutty the men in the Reaper’s MC are, yet they immediately settle down when they meet “the one” for them. Why can’t the women play around as well? LOL

Ruger is certainly one of the most promiscuous, and has a legendary reputation. It’s one of Sophie’s main issues against being with him, so keep this in mind in case this is a trigger for you.

I really loved the suspenseful ending and even cheered at the end. I can’t wait to dive into the third book as we finally get to read the story of the MC President’s daughter, Em. We meet her more in depth here in Reaper’s Legacy and we also have a better look into the Reaper’s rival MC – the Devil’s Jacks.

When Ruger saves his nephew in the beginning of the book, the perpetrator is a member of the Devil’s Jacks and they turn their ire on Sophie as payback for Ruger’s actions. We also revisit Marie and Horse from the last book (love that previous characters are not just forgotten). Reaper’s Legacy is a rollercoaster you don’t want to miss!
