Review: Up From the Grave (Night Huntress #7) by Jeaniene Frost

10357792

Lately, life has been unnaturally calm for vampires Cat Crawfield and her husband Bones. They should have known better than to relax their guard, because a shocking revelation sends them back into action to stop an all-out war…
A rogue CIA agent is involved in horrifying secret activities that threaten to raise tensions between humans and the undead to dangerous heights.

Now Cat and Bones are in a race against time to save their friends from a fate worse than death… because the more secrets they unravel, the deadlier the consequences. And if they fail, their lives—and those of everyone they hold dear — will be hovering on the edge of the grave.

My Review:

Up From the Grave by Jeaniene Frost (JF) is the final installment of the Night Huntress Series.

Cat and Bones face off one last enemy before they can reach their HEA: Madigan. Madigan is the new replacement in the government agency Don used to head.

Members of Cat’s old team are missing and Madigan is surely to blame. Cat, along with Bones, go in search of their friends, and they call in favors from everyone and their mother to find them.

But while they search, it comes to light that Madigan was working on some crazy experiments. You will be shocked to learn what or who Madigan was trying to replicate! Will Cat and Bones survive Madigan’s crazy antics? And will they be prepared to receive the shock of their lives?

All in all, Up From the Grave does a good job of wrapping up the Night Huntress Series. We meet almost everyone we’ve come to know and love in this series before we give them the final goodbye.

Fans of the Night Huntress Series will definitely not be disappointed with this action packed read. (JF is no Charlaine Harris! LOL! Thank goodness for that Smile) But don’t fret – we still have Vlad to look forward to, and I’m sure we’ll see more of Cat and Bones in the future.

Up From the Grave features:

  • erotica
  • oral sex
  • paranormal romance
  • mystery
  • suspense
  • vampires
  • ghouls
  • shapeshifters
  • ghosts
  • magic
  • humor

  1. I really enjoyed this series. I didn't care for the ending though, but I guess it was necessary if she might do a short story later or if they will appear in the next Dark Prince book

  2. Yes - my thoughts exactly! Still, I think she did a good job - compared to Charlaine Harris who screwed up beyond repair. LOL At least we were spared that disappointment :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting, theladykt! *hugs*
