3 Kiss Review: Broken Slave (Bound in Bloodlust #2) by Savannah Hill

A fire raging in the blood...
**This story can be read as a standalone**
A hard-working, small-town waitress, Macy has never desired a man as intensely as the one who just walked into her bar. But this captivating stranger is not just any man. He's not, in fact, even human.
A member of the bloodling race, his name is Nathan—but once he was called “Britton.” From an early age he was the abused slave-pet of a cruel child of privilege, forced to do his mistress’ evil bidding against those of his own kind. For years violence, depravity, and submission were all he knew, thanks to the human monster who corrupted his soul. But ultimately he broke free.

For the first time in a life filled with shadows, Nathan understands the pure power of this emotion called love. And though Macy fears the volatile world he inhabits, she is helpless to resist him. But now the sins of Nathan’s past are returning with a vengeance…and his enemies are back for blood.

My Review:

Although Broken Slave states it’s a read-alone book, it really whets your appetite to read the previous book of the series.

Britton was a slave, and as property of Gwen, he was made to do some heinous things. But now he’s free and goes by the name of Nathan.

Nathan and his pack-less friends roam from town to town, engaging in illegal fights for money. But all that roaming changes when Nathan spots his Raven, his soulmate, Macy.

Macy works in a bar with none other than Gwen’s sister, further complicating things for Nathan who loves his newfound freedom. But with his heart pulling the strings of his destiny, his freedom might just be the one thing he’ll love to give up.

Macy, in turn, feels the same for Nathan and she’s soon swept off her feet. Will it be a happily ever after for these two, or will Nathan’s past come back to haunt them?
