The last McKay standing is knocked to his knees…
Three years ago, Dalton McKay looked across the altar and saw the woman he knew he’d love for the rest of his life…only it wasn’t his bride. That’s when he took the McKays’ love-’em-and-leave-’em reputation to new heights—fleeing the ceremony and Wyoming.
Now a family issue has brought Dalton back to Sundance, giving him a chance to prove to everyone—especially the woman he thought he lost—that he’s a changed man.
Aurora “Rory” Wetzler has fallen for cowboy hottie Dalton’s smooth-talkin’ ways too many times. So he’s determined to convince her he’s playing for keeps this go around? Fine. She’ll call that bluff—she can’t ignore their intense chemistry or resist smokin’ hot sex, but she’s not willing to gamble her heart again.
Dalton has plenty of fences to mend with the McKays, but his biggest fear is that Rory doesn’t believe they have a future. He’ll have to pull out all the stops to show her they belong together for the long haul.
Warning: Contains a sexy cowboy who tames his sassy lady love with his romantic and his kinky side. In explicit detail.
My Review:
Redneck Romeo is the fifteenth installment in the Rough Riders Series by Lorelei James (LJ). Dalton McKay left his bride at the altar instead of marrying her for the wrong reasons.
Dalton took off after that fiasco and hadn't been home in three years. The only things that could bring him back home are Aurora "Rory" Wetzler (the one that got away) or his father. Dalton knows he's made mistakes with Rory in the past, but he's trying to prove he's changed man.
Rory Wetzler broke off her engagement six months ago, but is willing to admit she's partly to blame for things going wrong. Rory is confronted with a mountain man with a familiar voice, but doesn't recognize him. She’s shocked to discover it's Dalton McKay.
No man ever made Rory's blood run hot and cold at the same time. Rory is surprised at how Dalton is acting towards her, almost as if he's in love. Rory doesn't know what to make of the changes in Dalton.
Dalton's brothers, Tell and Brandt, can't understand why Dalton doesn't want any part of their father. Can Dalton prove he's a changed man? Will Rory admit her feelings for Dalton? Will Tell and Brandt learn the truth? Your answers await you in Redneck Romeo.

I have always liked Dalton and this book proves why. Dalton is a changed man who’s willing to admit he's done wrong, which is common in books but sometimes rare in real life.
While Rory isn't among my favorite characters in the series, she certainly proves she's a strong woman in her own right. LJ’s characters are real, honest, and flawed which is what makes her one of my favorite authors. Looking forward to my next adventure in this series.
Redneck Romeo features:
