My Review:

Nothing in Elisheva "Eli" Tilton’s life appears to be working out. Eli would for once like to have something on her own work out. Eli's job a Monte's Rubies is interesting, but hard work, too. Eli falls into a lucid dream that brings about interesting and terrifying consequences.

Matthiel "Matt" is a Golden Soul Reaper who finds an interesting scent and investigates it. Matt can't believe a human is here in his domain, especially one with cat-like voice.

A Shift has occurred causing havoc throughout the multiverse with no logical explanation to be had. Meanwhile, more strange happenings occur around Eli. Will Matt discover what is causing the Shift? Will Eli discover what's going on? Your answers await you in The Basilisk's Creed Omnibus.

The Basilisk’s Creed is definitely a fast read. It hits the ground running and doesn't stop until the final page. Poor Eli is clueless to the world around her.

Matt wants to do his job and discover Eli's identity. I liked the concept of the book which was executed cleverly. The characters were honest, real, and interesting. I would read more of this author's work in the future.
