Sentinel warrior Paul has been searching for centuries for a woman like Andra. To find her, he strikes a bargain with a bloodhunter that could cost him his life. Now, his desire for Andra threatens to destroy his much-needed control. Against her wishes, Andra agrees to join Paul on a journey fraught with danger—and leading directly to the Synestryn who victimized her family eight years ago.
My Review:
Finding the Lost is the second installment of The Sentinel Wars. We find Andra Madison whose unusual talent is finding lost children. She's very successful at her job because she knows all about monsters. She's trying to protect her sister, Nika, from further harm.
While trying to rescue a boy named Sammy, Andra gets unexpected help from two Theronai warriors: Paul and Madoc as well as from a Sanguinar demon named Logan.
Paul is immediately take with her, but Andra has commitment issues that leave her unable to accept Paul for who he is and what he wants from her. Paul just accepts what little time Andra is willing to give him, yet he wants more.
Sibyl plays a bigger role in this book than the previous installment. She knows something bad is going to happen to her and is resigned to this fate. Nika only listens to what Madoc tells her despite Andra trying to coddling her every step of the way.
Madoc doesn't understand his feelings towards Nika, yet wants to help her anyway. Will Andra give Paul more time? Can Paul live with it? What role will Sibyl and Nika play? What will Madoc do? Your answers await you in Finding the Lost.
