Review: Fire And Ice (Ice #5) by Anne Stuart

2463354

In the wake of a failed love affair, brainy beauty Jilly Lovitz takes off for Tokyo. She's expecting to cry on her sister Summer's shoulder, then spend a couple months blowing off steam in Japan. Instead, she's snatched away on the back of a motorcycle, narrowly avoiding a grisly execution attempt meant for her sister and brother-in-law.

Her rescuer is Reno, the Committee's most unpredictable agent. They'd met once before and the attraction was odd-- tattooed Yakuza punk meets leggy California egghead--but electric. Now Reno and Jilly are pawns in a deadly tangle of assassination attempts, kidnappings and prisoner swaps that could put their steamy partnership on ice.

My Quickie Review:

At the end of Ice Blue (Book #3 in the Ice Series), we got to see how Jilly, Summer’s younger sister, and Reno, Takashi’s cousin, met for the first time.

Ever since then, Jilly´s had a crush on Reno, but somehow nothing ever happened. Now, with her heart broken after a half ass
one-night stand, she´s on her way to Tokyo for some comfort from her sister. Not knowing Summer and Takeshi are hiding from assassins, Jill´s heading right into a trap.

Takeshi and Reno’s Grandfather exiled Reno, not wanting him in Japan at all, but now Reno defies him to save Jilly. Being exiled from Tokyo by his grandfather, the Yakuza leader, doesn´t matter to Reno, he´s the one with knowledge of Tokyo and Jilly, and the Committee has assigned him to get her out of there, safe and sound.

Fire And Ice, the fifth installment in Anne Stuart’s (A.S.) Ice Series, features a younger couple on the run in Tokyo, with fast paced action and some fluffy smut. This is a fun, fast read with a twist or two. A.S. shows she can write both regency and contemporary. Absolutely loved it!
