My Review:

Jodie Walsh lived an idyllic life until she learned that her family was involved in the mafia. Jodie didn't want to know what they do behind closed doors. All that is shattered when her family is murdered in front of her and she's taken hostage.

Dante doesn't like to hurt women and children. He especially doesn't like that The Family is going into the sex trade, but there's not much he can do about it.

Dante's boss, Gennaro, wants him to keep Jodie locked up in his apartment. Dante follows orders, but he doesn't much like it. Can Dante follow his orders? What will Jodie do? Your answers await you in Bend.

I'm loving this dark mafia romance series! The characters and story are top notch, gritty, raw, real, compelling, and complex. I totally get sucked in from the first to the last page. Ms. Hamel's writing makes this and her other works fast paced and well written.
