Second in the New York Times bestselling urban fantasy series set in Victorian London.
Love and lies can corrupt even the purest heart... In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, while her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will - the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers to who she is and what she was born to do?
William Herondale is keeping a secret from everyone: he believes he's cursed. Terrified, he’s desperate to find a cure.
Meanwhile Tessa Gray is continuing to live at The Institute, much to the dismay of Benedict Lightwood. Tessa is searching for answers as to who she really is, or what she is.
Tessa finds Jessamine's behavior to be out of character, but pushes it to the back of her mind. Tessa has conflicting feelings for both Jem and Will.
Charlotte is anxious to prove she can run The Institute and hopefully capture Mortmain, too.
Will receives a shock while in Yorkshire, and encounters a clockwork automaton. What is Will's secret? Will Charlotte continue as Head of the Institute? Will Tessa learn who she is? Your answers await you in Clockwork Prince.
Clockwork Prince picks up right where Clockwork Angel left off. There were definitely a lot of revelations to be had as well as some new mysteries, too.
I loved the insights to Will and Jem's characters! I also love the storytelling aspect of this series for it's effortlessness. The characters are real, honest, down to earth, and unique as well. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Clockwork Prince features:
- Young Adult
