Moving to a new high school to complete her senior year was not what Aimee would have chosen. But after her mother's attempted suicide, Aimee and her younger brother must shift across town and share a matchbox-sized condo with their aunt - while trying not to drive each other crazy.

My Review:
This short read packs a powerful punch! Blood Shattered definitely keeps you in the guessing game as Aimee, due to a family tragedy, finds herself in a new school. She's beside herself when a gorgeous guy, Leo, takes a shining to her, and the fact that he's got a girlfriend doesn't stop her in any way from wanting to see how things turn out with him.
To complicate things, Aimee befriends Leo's girlfriend - Claire- who seems more dead than alive, literally. As you try to decipher exactly why it seems that Aimee can't shake herself from Leo's thrall, things take a tragic turn and Claire ends up dead.
Leo doesn't miss a beat and is literally on Aimee seconds after Claire's gone. Can Aimee shake free of Leo, or will she realize she's fighting a force she can't hope to win against?
---On a side note, this book was released in 2011 and the author still hasn't written the sequel. Ugh! I hate that it ended in a cliffhanger. Wish I knew what happens next!
