My Review:
Zenobia is used to penning her brothers adventures, not experiencing them for herself, but now she has the chance to actually do something. She accompanies her friend on her journey to the Red City to join her husband, and as extra security against kidnappings, Zenobia takes two bodyguards.
This is lucky enough, since their ship is targeted by pirates, and Zenobia has to jump ship to save herself.
Ariq has founded a settlement far away from all the drama and governing forces, but when pirates plague his area, he has to do something. Saving a lovely lady turns out to be one thing to start with.
What neither of them anticipated was what this meeting would mean to either of them: the author and the Kraken King.
The Kraken King is a steampunk romance filled with action, suspense, and smutty fluff all in an awesome combo.
